Deathbody recovered from Ramkhali river at Haluaghat

Police have recovered the deatbody of a man named Emdadul Haque (45), two days after his disappearance from the Ramkhali river of Swadeshi union of Halwaghat upazila of Mymensingh. His deathbody was recovered Friday morning. The deceased was the son of the deceased Kala Khan of Kharma village of Haluaghat Upazila.
Police said Emdadul left the house on Wednesday afternoon, September 2, after going to visit sister-in-law’s house in Boaljana area. He suddenly disappeared while crossing the river on the middle road. After much searching, the shoe was found on the banks of the river and an attempt was made to rescue it. Failing to rescue, the relatives returned home. Later this morning, locals reported their relatives seeing his deathbody floating on Friday morning.
Haluaghat Police Station Officer-in-Charge Biplob Kumar Bishwas confirmed the incident and said that the deathbody of Emdadul was sent to Mymensingh Medical College Hospital morgue for autopsy.
